Begger

February 9, 2019

I am a beggar, I beg for mercy, I beg for reason, I beg for logic, I beg for admiration. I beg for love and comprehension. I beg, therefore I am nothing more than a beggar. My streets are the eyes that reflect my image back to my own eyes. I wonder if I am begging myself into existence. Give me a reason, please, please. Give me just a reason, To be more than just what I am, But don’t ask too much. Look at me, see me and don’t walk through me. Help me find who I am and who I could be. But just don’t ask too much, If you do, I prefer you not to have seen me. Be patient, be kind, be merciful, have pity, Remember I am the one doing the begging. Let me beg, let me beg, but don’t ask for too much, Give me pity, but not reality. And please I beg, Under no circumstance make me responsible For my own life.
